Your Role:
As a Chemical Applicator/Lawn Care Technician, you will be responsible for applying fertilizers, weed control treatments, and other lawn applications to residential and commercial properties. In September, your focus will shift to aeration and overseeding to help customers achieve the best lawn possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively apply lawn care treatments, including fertilizers, weed control, and other applications
- Perform aeration and overseeding services in the fall
- Ensure all chemical applications meet safety regulations and industry best practices
- Maintain detailed treatment records for compliance and reporting
- Work independently while providing excellent customer service to clients
- Keep equipment clean, calibrated, and in excellent working order
What We’re Looking For:
- Iowa 3OT License required (or ability to obtain before starting)
- Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, or chemical application preferred
- Ability to work efficiently, independently, and with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering quality results
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Physically capable of handling lawn care equipment (lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods)
Schedule & Compensation:
- Seasonal position from March through November
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications
- Weather-dependent flexibility – hours may vary based on conditions
