Your Role
As the Commercial Mowing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our commercial mowing operations, including scheduling, quality control, equipment management, and crew leadership. You will ensure all properties are maintained to high standards while leading a team that operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the commercial mowing crew, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to company standards
- Operate and oversee the use of commercial mowing equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Ensure proper mowing patterns, trimming, edging, and clean-up on all properties
- Perform quality control inspections to maintain high service standards
- Train and mentor crew members, ensuring they follow proper techniques and safety protocols
- Maintain equipment, perform minor repairs, and report major maintenance needs
- Plan and organize daily schedules based on weather, client needs, and crew availability
- Communicate effectively with management, team members, and clients when necessary
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budgeted hours
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in commercial mowing, lawn maintenance, or landscaping
- Experience operating commercial-grade mowing equipment (zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, trimmers, blowers)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle physical labor (lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods)
Schedule & Compensation:
- Full-time seasonal position (March – November)
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
