Job Summary

· We are looking for a qualified aviation technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for working on aircraft electronic systems and instruments, including those that perform navigation, communications, and flight control and advising on the appropriate repair processes. To ensure your success in the role, avionic technicians should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of electrical, diagnostic, and test flight error data. As an aviation technician you will be someone who has excellent communication and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and is dedicated to ongoing upskill training and development.
Duties
- · Testing & Inspecting – Conduct avionic inspections, system testing, and troubleshooting to identify and diagnose electrical and avionics system malfunctions. Utilize various diagnostic tools, test equipment, and software to perform accurate system evaluations and ensure the proper functioning of avionic systems.
· Analyzing – Interpreting flight test data to diagnose performance problems and malfunctions. They also analyze complex problems and develop solutions to get aircraft back in the air quickly. Troubleshoot existing avionics installation interconnects with an advanced understanding of repair station practices.
· Repairing – Repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, systems, and equipment. This may include repairing computer circuit cards, power generators, and electric motors. Modify aircraft to accommodate panels and remote mounted avionics equipment with demonstrated wiring, termination techniques and harness skills.
· Installing – Installing instrument panels, software, and modifications to aircraft electronic systems. You may also assemble components like electrical controls and junction boxes.
· Maintaining – Performing scheduled maintenance, corrosion control, and keeping records of maintenance and repair work.
· Develop documentation, testing and training plans for new avionic systems to meet intern/external needs.
Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
· A&P certification highly desired
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in avionics maintenance and repair.
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Valid State Issued Driver’s License
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Strong computer skills, including familiarity with avionics software.
Physical Requirements:
· Stooping below wings and bending to complete repairs
· Standing and walking for extended periods of time
· Good hand-eye coordination with good peripheral vision
· Frequent lifts or pulls of up to 75 pounds are normal and the physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
