Position Summary
Safely performs in-process inspections to monitor and evaluate manufacturing quality. Communicates effectively with co-workers, shop floor employees and teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs in-process inspections to support manufacturing operations.
- Utilizes scales, jigs and “go-no go” gauges to conduct required inspection checks.
- Communicates suspect or quality defects with assembly team members, assembly leads, QIPs and Supervisors.
- Performs all required specification checks per unit/ per section.
- Clearly and consistently documents all non-conformance findings on quality inspection check sheets.
- Maintains 5S compliant work areas
- Supports ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of KMA products and assembly process.
- English language competency and legible writing ability.
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
