The Assistant Division Service Manager (ADSM) performs service department activities by helping dealers improve their customer support and field service team management for the assigned district. A critical focus is coaching the Field Service Manager (FSM) district team’s collective and individual ability to support innovation, growth, and product quality improvement as well as to be the voice for the customer and dealer within Kubota.
What Winning Looks Like
Oversee and mentor a remote team of 5 Field Service Managers (FSM) to achieve both individual and team objectives.
Build and foster strong partnerships with the local dealer of choice with a constant focus on improving the dealer network.
Support FSM team in their day-to-day dealer engagements and with data using software such as Salesforce, Power BI, Google apps, and Microsoft Office suite.
Regularly travel alongside FSM team members to develop dealers and coach FSMs.
Provide leadership and analysis to elevate the team and dealer group with brainstorming approaches to identify proactive service solutions, and increase customer satisfaction index (CSI) and net promoter scores (NPS) in aftersales support, while achieving a profitable business model.
Skills Needed to Win
Multiple years of experience in aftersales support with 2 years management experience
Strong understanding of dealer operations preferably in the ag or industrial field
Excellent business and technical communication skills.
Conflict management and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mentality

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with the respective FSM and Division Service Manager to perform Dealer Warranty Audits as needed
May perform duties of assigned Service Manager in his/her absence
Oversee Dealer Service Business and Operational Reviews delivered by FSMs
Help facilitate technical and professional training at the Division training center.
Accountable for meeting sales and market share goals for aftersales products.
Involved in spare parts retail inventory management process and procedures.
Oversee wise stewardship of discretionary spending according to company policy.
Responsible for district dealer’s achievement of overall profitability targets.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:
Bachelor’s Degree 8 Years of dealer operations experience or associates or vocational tech school and 15 years related experience in an industrial or related field.
Kubota certified in dealer business operations management (within 1 year of hire).
Ability to travel up to 60%
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Professional level understanding of profit and loss cash flow and ability to educate others on its principles.
Management experience leading a remote team in fast paced high demand environment.
Coaching ability to develop others ability in retail inventory management for spare parts business.
Coaching ability to develop others ability in advanced diagnostics and problem-solving techniques.
Advanced level skills using MS Office
Proven ability to gain and retain trust of Kubota dealer’s entire management team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typical office environment. The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer. The ADSM must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position will require walking, standing, driving and sitting at a computer.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Performance of the duties of this job will expose the person to potential hazards including, noise, chemicals, paints, fuels, dust, heat, moving parts and operation of mechanical or electrical equipment. Expected travel is 60%.
