Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the design and development of X-ray cabinets and imaging systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams—mechanical, electrical, and software engineers—to ensure cost-effective, safe, and reliable solutions. This role entails both hands-on design work and documentation responsibilities, making it an ideal opportunity for a motivated engineer eager to contribute to all phases of product development.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Participate in full product development cycles: concept, design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
• Assist in creating and updating mechanical design documents (drawings and specifications).
• Generate part requirements and engineering specifications.
• Develop refined drawings and assemblies using proper dimensioning and tolerancing standards (GD&T).
• Produce technical reports, test results, and documentation in compliance with company SOPs.
• Create process flow diagrams, work instructions, and test procedures for manufacturing.
• Support the design of parts for plastic injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and CNC processes.
• Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and facilitate updates to support documentation.
• Interface with Production, Service, and Quality teams to address and resolve findings in a timely manner.
• Perform 3D virtual part engineering with respect to manufacturability, assembly, and disassembly (service).
• Perform theoretical mechanical analysis, review samples, and provide feedback.
• Manage prototypes builds; review, test, and draw conclusions from the prototypes to improve design.
• Work with internal and external teams to meet project goals.
