Customer-Focused Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness in the work area, and providing exceptional service to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the POS system efficiently to process orders and handle cash register transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, addressing their needs and inquiries promptly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining health standards.
• Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on providing outstanding customer service.

Pay starts at $9/hr plus tips. Traditionally tips have doubled the hourly wage.

Barista may be required to serve beer and wine.
