Your Role
As a Control Tower Operations Manager you will supervise the daily activities of a supply chain control tower, which serves as a central hub overseeing and managing the movement of goods across a company's entire supply chain, ensuring seamless operations through data analysis, problem identification, and strategic decision-making to enhance efficiency and delivery times; track key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues and enhance service delivery throughout the supply chain. You will work Friday, Saturday and Sunday (6 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm) or Monday - Thursday (5 : 00 pm - 3 : 30 am).
Your Responsibilities
- Manage daily control tower operations by monitoring real-time logistics data, tracking shipments, and ensuring timely delivery across multiple channels
- Utilize automated systems (such as TMS, WMS, WCS, and IoT platforms) to gain visibility into operations and quickly address potential disruptions
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics efficiency, cost control, and service levels
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks through proactive monitoring and contingency planning
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the control tower team
- Monitor end-to-end supply chain operations through the control tower, ensuring real-time visibility of shipments, inventory, and demand fluctuations
- Use data analytics and predictive modeling to enhance forecasting and demand planning
- Develop and implement planning strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the supply chain and implement process improvements
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding supply chain disruptions, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives
