Your Role
As our Accounts Payable Specialist you will be key in in upholding and optimizing the accounts payable processes here at Kuehne Nagel. You will provide expert guidance, analysis, and support to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. Working closely with finance teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders, you will streamline processes, resolve complex issues, and implement best practices.
Your Responsibilities
- Serve as our primary expert and point of contact for accounts payable-related escalations
- Provide oversight and collaborate closely with our shared service center in Costa Rica to ensure that accounts payable operations meet established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Analyze and review AP processes to identify areas of improvement and partner with management to implement best practices to increase efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and IT, to enhance AP workflows and system integrations
- Participate in AP-related projects, including process automation, system upgrades, and vendor management initiatives
- Resolve complex vendor issues and discrepancies, ensuring a high level of service and maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Conduct regular reviews of the AP subledger to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items
- Identify, investigate, and resolve debit balances, ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly to maintain accurate financial records

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
