This role will ideally sit out of our Jersey City office, but can sit out of Atlanta, Chicago, or Dallas.
Your Role
As the Head of QSHE for Kuehne Nagel in the U.S., you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping the quality, safety, and compliance culture across 100 branches nationwide. Reporting directly to the US Country Manager, with close collaboration with our Corporate QSHE team, you'll be empowered to drive the implementation and ongoing evolution of our Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, Security, and Dangerous Goods (QSHE) management systems.This is your opportunity to lead a nationwide initiative, ensuring that our integrated management systems are not only compliant but continuously improved. Your expertise will help streamline processes, elevate training programs, and lead audits, all while delivering top-tier support to our customers. Your Responsibilities
- Implement and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) and related Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment (QSHE) standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
- Set, track, and monitor QSHE performance targets at the national level, including KN Solutions and customer-specific requirements.
- Evaluate and report on QSHE KPIs (audits, HSE, security, customer meetings) monthly to support decision-making.
- Lead and support investigations into QSHE incidents (health & safety, security, dangerous goods, etc.).
- Liaise with external parties (customers, authorities, certification bodies, suppliers) on QSHE, security, and dangerous goods matters.
- Collaborate with national Business and Functional Units to ensure proper QSHE implementation across the organization.
- Coordinate internal and external audits (vendors, customers, certification bodies) and facilitate synergies within the global QSHE team.
- Develop and execute annual QSHE training plans; manage and coordinate the national QSHE team.
- Set performance targets for direct reports, conduct performance appraisals, and identify training needs to enhance team skills.
- Oversee the national QSHE budget, manage resource allocation, and ensure compliance with business continuity plans and safety standards.

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
