Job description
At Kuesel, the individual is responsible for repairing and installing water lines, sewer lines, and water meters. Provide service to broken water and sewer lines. Install and repair manholes. Is responsible for providing physical labor at residential, commercial, and roadway construction project sites throughout the St Louis metro for construction sites. Laborers typically clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.

Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks involving manual labor at construction project sites, including shovel/broom work, hand digging, trenching, and pulling and removing material.
- Maintain a clean job site at all times. Pick up all material, tools, and small equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Assembling and disassembling temporary structures.
- Manage and monitor traffic control in regard to work zone regulations.
- Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
- Digging trenches, removing filling, and/or compacting earth with use of shovels and rakes.
- Reading and following construction plans and blueprints.
- Following supervisors’ instructions.
- Assist equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled craftspeople when necessary.
- Other projects or duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Construction experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Commercial drivers license (preferred)
- Must have ability to travel and have reliable transportation
- Must be available to work extended hours as required by the workload
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Basic knowledge of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines, and construction equipment, including safe operating practices
- Basic math skills
- Detail orientated, takes initiative and dependable
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrain.
- Able to meet all physical requirements.
- Able to work around periodic exposures to high levels of noise, odors, gasses, dust, grease and a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites.

Pay: $36.00 - $60.00 per hour
