We are looking for an experienced Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician to join our team at the KUHN Group.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various product performance evaluation and testing activities, including competitive product benchmarking and new R&D projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate test equipment to accurately evaluate product performance utilizing prepared test plans. Document test results and other significant data.
- Develop product testing parameters, evaluation procedures, and timelines with input from sales and marketing, engineering, and custom fabrication.
- Produce and distribute test reports to proper engineering, product support and sales and marketing team members, including relevant statistical data, as well as commentary describing the nature of the problem and potential solutions.
- Investigate/test solutions to improve current products and document field fix instructions.
- Assist design engineers in implementation of new designs, design changes, and design upgrades based on information derived from the test group.
- Test or solicit performance information on competitive equipment and document results for engineering and sales and marketing personnel.
- Coordinate testing activities with customer locations, considering customer needs and accommodations.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering is required.
- Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred.
