The KUHN Group is seeking an experienced Product Evaluation Engineer/Technician to perform various product performance evaluation and testing activities.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating product performance, developing testing parameters, and coordinating testing activities with customer locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate product performance using prepared test plans and document test results.
- Develop product testing parameters and evaluation procedures with input from sales and marketing, engineering, and custom fabrication.
- Produce and distribute test reports to proper engineering, product support and sales and marketing team members.
- Investigate/test solutions to improve current products and document field fix instructions.
- Assist design engineers in implementation of new designs, design changes, and design upgrades based on information derived from the test group.
- Test or solicit performance information on competitive equipment and document results for engineering and sales and marketing personnel.
- Coordinate testing activities with customer locations, considering customer needs and accommodations.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering is required.
- Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing and hay tool technology is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in the areas of farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics/repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred.
