The Product Evaluation Engineer plays a pivotal role in assessing product performance, conducting thorough testing activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for Kuhn Knight and Kuhn products to evaluate their performance, accuracy, and reliability.
- Develop and implement evaluation procedures, timelines, and test parameters in conjunction with sales, marketing, engineering, and custom fabrication teams.
- Promote collaboration across departments by producing and distributing detailed test reports that include relevant statistical data, commentary, and potential solutions.
- Investigate and document field fixes to enhance current product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support design engineers in the implementation of new designs, design changes, and upgrades based on insights derived from the test group.
- Evaluate competitive equipment, gather performance information, and document results for engineering and sales teams.
- Foster effective communication with customers, coordinating testing activities that cater to their needs and preferences.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in agricultural or mechanical engineering is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of material spreading, mixing, and hay tool technology is highly valued.
- Experience in farm equipment engineering, testing, mechanics, repair, electricity, hydraulics, and welding is also preferred.
