Barista

Kuik Run LLC is hiring a Barista in Aniak, AK. We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Coffee, Italian Sodas, Lotus Energy, and Sandwich’s plus snacks. Exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to customers according to recipes and preferences.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and making recommendations.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment. Including syrups and inventory.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including the bar, dining area, and equipment.
• Restock supplies such as coffee beans, milk, and syrups as needed.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process orders accurately using the POS system.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory management.
• Stay informed about new trends, products, and promotions to engage customers effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A genuine interest in coffee and willingness to learn more about the craft.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.
• Ability to assist Kuik Run personnel with stocking, cashiering, pricing, stocking and receiving incoming freight.
• An ideal candidate must be able to work an open schedule including weekend duty.
