Summary
As a Forklift Operator at Kuiken Brothers, you will be an integral part of our warehouse team, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of building materials. This role is vital in supporting our mission to exceed customer expectations through quality service and reliable operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload building materials from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Ensure accurate order picking and staging for shipping to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking material usage and stock levels.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory management systems is a plus.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
