Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging history lessons that align with the school’s academic and spiritual goals.
- Teach a range of historical topics, including world history, U.S. history, and government.
- Foster critical thinking, discussion, and analysis among students.
- Incorporate a biblical worldview into lesson plans, helping students understand history from a Christian perspective.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and exams.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in History, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or credential (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience teaching history at the middle or high school level is a plus.
