Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project management teams to assess project requirements and scope.
- Conduct site visits to gather information on construction site conditions and requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials prices, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
- Assist in contract negotiations by providing accurate pricing information and cost breakdowns.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
