Job Title: Technical Program Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary: $113,050 - $168,700

Reports to: Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Location: Onsite.

KULR Technology Location: Webster, Texas

Travel: Travel Required as Necessary.


Position Overview:

The Technical Program Manager is responsible for the company’s technical projects of all types, staying involved for each stage of development, from idea to design to their completion. The program manager coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. This position involves tracking technical issues and finding solutions for problems that may arise but also leading the creation and presentation of comprehensive proposals, ensuring alignment with customer needs, and capturing and facilitating success of new programs.

Functions:

  • Drives the execution for complex technical products from the pre-sales scoping process to the post-sales design and implementation activities.
  • Reviews customer technical specifications, recommends specific products or services, and estimates cost and effort for implementation.
  • Supports the development of strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
  • Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
  • Plans and designs the configuration of products for initial implementation or the deployment of custom solutions, enhancements, or upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots problems and oversees the completion of repairs, workarounds, or customizations.
  • Assesses risk and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals.
  • Partners as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teams.
  • Works with management executives to regularly inspect and report the program’s progress.
  • Keeps senior executives and business teams updated on project timelines and results.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Science, technology, or math background preferred.

  • Highly skilled in and knowledgeable of Solution Design.
  • Ability to develop and manage schedules related to a major project or program.
  • Ability to apply knowledge, insights, and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools, and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance.
  • Experience developing and executing communications and engagement strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, building effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume personal accountability, address limitations, and exhibit honesty and respect towards others, the company, and oneself.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional role within technical teams. Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Office Work Environment

Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, which permits the employee to communicate effectively on the telephone and in person.
