What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Developer 1 Location: Salt Lake City, position at Kum & Go?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop applications using either Java and Spring Boot, or Angular, Flutter and Cordova.
Contribute, under the guidance of senior team members, to cross-functional development and integration projects.
Develop high-quality code in a timely manner.
Keep abreast with the latest application development and open-source technology where applicable and feasible.
Special projects, as assigned
Qualifications : Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
Qualifications : Experience
2 years of using Java or Angular.
2 years implementing RESTFul web services based on micro-service architecture.
Ability to follow detailed instructions.
Quality focused and detail oriented.
Willingness to learn new technologies.
Familiarity with SQL and database design concepts, preferrd.
Experience with tools like Git, Monorepo, bug tracking and build tools such as Jenkins, preferred.
Experience working on Agile / SCRUM teams and using tools such as Jira, preferred.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline, preferred.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
