Great Base Salary, $89k DOE & Commissions Opportunity! ** Based Remotely in Northwest AR, Southwest MO, or Northeast OK
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement of Maverik’s commercial retail fuel marketing plan to help increase customer base and retention
- Identify “target” companies and initiate contact with the appropriate people within the organization
- Effectively communicate Maverik’s market proposition, determine customers’ needs, pain points and propose fueling solutions
- Work closely with the internal operations teams to optimize the sales process from the first customer contact and ensure smooth delivery of client services and expectations
- Utilize the industry knowledge to identify internal systems that best support customer pricing, billing, and customer service
- Monitor customer sales and profitability
- Extensive travel required within assigned territories
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent work experience preferred
Qualifications: Experience
- 5 yrs experience in direct sales, account, and/or channel management development
- Experience with Fuel Card sales & services
- Experience with contract negotiation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications: Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
- Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
- The ability to get people to change attitudes, behaviors, or mindsets using indirect methods including effective listening and negotiation skills
- A record of anticipating customer needs & giving high priority to customer satisfaction & service
- Knowledge of industry and market trends affecting the organization’s competitiveness
