Join Maverik as a Compensation Consultant, where you’ll play a key role in shaping our pay strategies to attract and retain top talent. As a trusted advisor, you’ll partner with business leaders to apply compensation best practices, analyze market data, and develop competitive pay structures. You’ll lead compensation discussions, present insights to senior leadership, and support salary planning, incentive programs, and compliance.
- Serve as a consultant and advocate to business stakeholders in understanding and applying compensation philosophy and practices.
- Effectively communicate compensation strategies and recommendations to senior leadership, HR, and other stakeholders. Use data and persuasive communication to influence decisions that align with best practices and organizational goals.
- Take a leadership role in compensation-related meetings, including presenting findings, discussing strategy options, and facilitating decision-making processes.
- Perform job analysis and evaluation, market pricing/competitive pay analysis, and consultation on base pay, incentive/bonus, and total cash compensation. Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.
- Assist with the development and delivery of training/communications on a variety of compensation programs, including job families and levels, salary planning, bonus/incentive plans, and FLSA compliance.
- Provide consultation and analytical support to the business on market strategies, incentive plans, spot awards, and various project/milestone bonus programs as needed.
- Conduct data and cost analyses for individual, team, and organizational analysis of compensation levels to determine internal equity and external competitiveness and make recommendations to business stakeholders. Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.
- Serves as a business resource for compensation related inquiries and requests for information from a variety of stakeholders both within Grow People, across the business and senior leadership.
- Utilize the various tools that support compensation programs and initiatives, and partner with HRIS to align systems with compensation needs in support of the technology solution roadmap.
- Leads annual salary review administration process. Develops project plan and calendar and provides updates to HR mangers on outstanding items.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- CCP and/or PHR/SPHR certification, preferred
- 3 years of Human Resources or equivalent experience
- 2 years of direct compensation experience with prior experience administering multiple salary structures, preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
- Practice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction
- Proven ability to effectively prioritize and balance competing needs
- A history of taking the initiative to identify and solve work-related problems
- Experience in exercising initiative and sound judgment in decision-making
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
