Join Maverik as our Process Optimization & SOP Intern and gain hands-on experience in standardizing and optimizing operational procedures! Maverik’s Summer Intern Program is designed to provide a structured learning experience, equipping interns with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career. The internship will run from June 2025 – August 2025, with a commitment of up to 30 hours per week. This opportunity is exclusively available to full-time students currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university. What You’ll Learn & Accomplish: As a Process Optimization & SOP Intern, you will play a critical role in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Maverik’s Store Operations team. You will review our current SOP library, update existing procedures, remove outdated ones, and identify gaps where new SOPs are needed. Key Projects & Milestones:
- Create an updated SOP library on Trailhead, ensuring all SOPs are current and easily accessible for store teams.
- Review and audit existing SOPs, removing outdated or redundant content.
- Collaborate with business partners to obtain feedback on existing procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage with field leaders to determine missing SOPs and develop new procedures as needed.
- Deliver a comprehensive and fully updated SOP library by the end of the internship, enhancing operational efficiency across Maverik stores.
- Hands-on experience in process improvement and documentation.
- Project management skills, including tracking milestones and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Enhanced communication and relationship-building abilities through engagement with field leaders and corporate teams.
- Exposure to store operations and retail best practices in a fast-paced environment.

- Retail experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be a full-time college student who has completed their sophomore year by the start of the internship.
- Currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a degree related to the position.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
