Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance programs and processes within the HVAC construction company. They ensure that products and services meet or exceed customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Assurance Manager collaborates with various departments to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. We need someone who can work to get materials, such as paneling, plumbing, ducting, electrical, etc., approved for quality, and communicate with the architectural design office.

Responsibilities:

1) Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory mandates.

2) Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance programs and processes.

3) Conduct regular audits, inspections, and reviews of construction projects, materials, and processes to identify quality deficiencies, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.

4) Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to establish quality control plans, inspection checklists, and testing protocols for HVAC systems and components.

5) Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance principles, practices, and tools, ensuring awareness and adherence to established quality standards and procedures.

6) Monitor and analyze data from quality audits, inspections, and customer feedback to identify trends, root causes of quality issues, and opportunities for preventive action.

7) Investigate customer complaints, warranty claims, and product returns, coordinating corrective and preventive actions to address underlying quality issues and prevent recurrence.

8) Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the quality and reliability of materials, equipment, and components procured for construction projects.

9) Collaborate with internal departments, such as design engineering, procurement, and production, to address quality-related concerns, resolve technical issues, and optimize processes.

10) Communicate quality performance, improvement initiatives, and best practices to management, employees, customers, and other stakeholders through regular reports, presentations, and meetings.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.

* Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management within the construction or manufacturing industry, preferably in HVAC systems or related fields.

* In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, tools, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

* Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQM/OE, Six Sigma Black Belt) is highly desirable.

* Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices related to HVAC systems and construction projects.

* Proficiency in quality management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
