Department: SOM KC Neurology - Neuromuscular ----- Neuromuscular Faculty Position Title: Assistant Professor – Neurology (Neuromuscular) Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: Function as a staff physician in the Department of Neurology in the Neuromuscular Medicine division. Duties at KU will involve assisting in the neurology clinics, hospital rounds, teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows. Job Description: Required Qualifications Education/Licensure: MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent to an MD. Eligible for Kansas medical license. Work Experience: Completion of neurology residency training and neuromuscular medicine fellowship training. Preferred Qualifications Skills: Excellent communication skills. Job Duties Outlined: See patients in the outpatient neurology neuromuscular clinic. On occasion, cover the academic teaching service in the inpatient hospital unit. Supervise neurology residents and fellows. This will include supervision of trainees in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic. Teach medical students on the inpatient and outpatient services and provide occasional lectures. Pursue scholarly activity in the areas of neuromuscular medicine disease. Other duties as assigned by Department Chair.
