Department: SOM KC Neurology - Stroke ----- Inpatient Neurology Position Title: Vascular Neurologist - Neurology Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: Job Description: Job Duties: Provide care for vascular neurology patients, including the diagnosis and treatment of stroke. Diagnose, treat, and manage these stroke patients in the clinic, hospital, and on Consults Participate in on-call coverage Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in patient care settings and in formal and informal group education formats. Minimally participate in scholarly activities derived from clinical activities Perform other duties as directed by supervisor Required Qualifications Education: MD, DO, or foreign equivalent Work Experience: Neurology Residency training Preferred Qualifications Work Experience: Vascular Neurology Fellowship training Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills Conditions of Employment Eligible for Kansas medical licensure.
