What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Learning Teacher position at Kumon Math & Reading Center of Mason?
Kumon is an afterschool Math and Reading Enrichment/Learning program for kids from Pre- K to 12th Grade. We are looking for individuals, who are accountable, responsible, and reliable and are interested to help and enrich students. This position is a part-time position that will involve in assisting in running a classroom.
This position is ideal for retired educators, stay-at-home parents, college students, seeking part-time income and enjoy working with kids.
Responsibilities include :
- Work with preschool and elementary school children in developing reading and math skills using Kumon Method (Training will be provided)
- Grading
- Observe students and administer worksheets according to the Kumon Method
- Preparing class work
- Assisting students in work (when necessary)
Requirements:
- At least a high school diploma, preferably a college degree(in some cases may consider mature high school students)
- and can be discussed.
* Need to be accountable, responsible, and reliable with timing and duties. Prompt replies are expected. Must be on-time and reliable.
Skills for successful candidates:
- Must be responsible and punctual
- Enthusiastic, patient, and enjoy working with young children
- Excellent English skills (phonics, grammar, comprehension)
* Willing to learn new teaching techniques where applicable ( Training will be provided.)
- Hours will be about 4 - 16 hours a week.
- For a successful candidate, a one-month introductory period will be administered
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
