JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for day-to-day discipline of students and providing a safe and positive learning environment for students and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Idaho education credential in administration.
- At least five (5) years of successful classroom teaching.
- Must have demonstrated ability in leadership and conflict management.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may prescribe.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret and enforce district and high school policies and administrative regulations, including the skillful handling of daily disciplinary and attendance problems, guaranteeing due process to students.
- Be administration representative on I.E.P. meetings.
- Participate in evaluations with B.A. and Principal as arranged.
- Assist in the organization and administration of extra-curricular activities as directed by the athletic/activities director.
- Participate in the supervision of daily use of the school facilities.
- Provide written and oral reports as requested by the building principal, district administration, and the school board.
- Participate in building level and district committees as assigned by school administrator, the assistant superintendent, or the superintendent.
- Keep the school administrator informed of events, activities and other routine matters related to the principal's area of accountability.
- Assist the Building Administrator in overseeing campus safety including security, crisis planning, and emergency procedures.
- Perform other duties as directed and assigned by the school administrators.
- Deal with students, parents, staff and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
- Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The contract period shall be for 185 days, at a salary commensurate with present placement on the certified salary schedule, plus a $7500 stipend to cover extra days and after school supervision.
