REPORTS TO: Principal
CALENDAR: 245 Days a Year
HOURS: Full Time
SALARY: OS6: $18.11 - $21.36/hr - Depending on previous experience as a bookkeeper in a school - PLUS

JOB SUMMARY: To facilitate efficient financial management, support budgetary decisions, and contribute to the overall financial stability of student body accounts at Kuna High School.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
- Articulate and able to communicate effectively with persons within and outside of the school district.
- A high degree of proficiency in Google applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. Skyward, Power School, Rev-Trak knowledge is a plus.
- Professional and confidential when dealing with State and Federal agencies, as well as, surrounding school districts.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and the operations of common office equipment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, invoices, purchase orders, and payment documentation. Organize and file financial documents appropriately and timely to ensure easy retrieval when required.
- Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the principal(s) and office manager.
- Collect, receipt, track and deposit school funds according to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Manage school accounts payable, including invoicing, purchase orders, & packing slips.
- Monitor student funds, fees, fines & account balances
- Train staff on purchasing procedures and district financial policies.
- Compile sales tax reports from student body accounts and prepare any other required reports.
- Follow all procedures set by the District Financial department.
- Maintain Skyward, Rev-Trak, Square, etc in reporting, data entry.
- Learn other office positions and cover those positions as needed.
- Deal with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive encouraging manner.
- Act ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
- Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
- Any other duties as assigned.
