Shop Foreman - Automotive Dealership
Are you a seasoned automotive professional with leadership skills and technical expertise? We're seeking an experienced Shop Foreman to lead our service team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and assign repair orders (ROs) to technicians based on their specific abilities and expertise
- Ensure technicians have all necessary parts for repairs and maintenance
- Collaborate with lot porters to guarantee timely movement of vehicles into the shop
- Monitor and flag technician times, adding required parts to repair orders
- Provide ongoing support to technicians, addressing any needs or concerns
- Prepare and write up detailed estimates for service work
- Engage in customer relations, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction
- Participate in field work, leading a small crew for full set-ups of sold units
- Assist with pickup and drop-off of service customer vehicles as needed
- Work directly with the Service Manager and Service Advisor to maintain efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years of automotive technical experience
- ASE Master Technician certification preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Advanced diagnostic and repair knowledge
- Proven ability to coordinate complex service operations
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Proficiency in automotive service management software
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
