The Job

Kuoni Tumlare are seeking dynamic, motivated, and ambitious Travel Sales Managers to join and experienced team of fun and friendly professionals. In the role you will generate business from universities short term study abroad programs, including undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA.

We are looking for experienced travel professionals, who has demonstrable experience in winning new business from University Accounts, developing customers, and driving revenue.

Responsibilities :

  • Use your sales skills to generate short term study abroad business using Kuoni Tumlare's extensive network in the US.
  • Keep close communication with our local offices and make sure business is operated smoothly.
  • Investigate for new Travel products or activities to be promoted on the market, in coordination with our destination offices.
  • Participate in sales trips, travel workshops and tradeshows.
  • Organize fam trips and educational tours for our travel clients.
  • Responsible for Marketing activities in the university travel market.
  • Sales reports & administrative tasks including Having responsibility for checking the business profitability and ensuring strict revenue control of the tours using company systems - DOS & BIS
  • Sales activities Including : following up the portfolio of active clients and looking for new clients, keeping strong knowledge of the market situation and competition to ensure that our products are adapted to the client's requirements.
  • Sales reports & administrative tasks; Need to provide accurate and consistent reporting to the management, take quick action when needed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Tourism and Travel related field or relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in developing University Accounts and ability to maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the travel industry and market situation is advantageous.
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Office - Word / Excel / PDF, and presentation experience.
  • Well organized, able to prioritize tasks and effectively manage your time.
  • Ability to work under pressure, and manage client expectations, delivering good service.
  • Ability to work cross- functionally with other departments and foster strong relationships internally.
  • Willingness to travel for sales trips, trade shows and FAM trips, approximately 50 days per year.
  • Detailed oriented, capacity to check work and tours in the systems.
