Kurt Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist II to join our team at our contract Machining Division in Fridley Minnesota.  This position is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating numerically controlled machine tools. This role involves performing a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive workpieces, ensuring close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.    Our deal candidate can set-up and operate lathe machines, perform precision machining operations; interpret blueprints, specifications, and routings; operate multiple machines, and will the mathematical aptitude necessary for success in this role.     Compensation The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $29.00 to $38.00. The exact rate may be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.   Shift:  6:00 a.m. - 2:30 pm. Monday - Friday   Essential Functions Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set up instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings. Check parts for conformance to specifications. May be required to run more than one unit simultaneously Requires a broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures. Reliable attendance is required, Required High School Diploma or GED equivalent 3 years of related experience Ability to perform metric conversions Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings Preferred Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school 4 or more years of related experience  Benefits  Medical, dental, vision plans which are effective on your hire date.
