Kurt Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Sales Manager. This position is responsible for developing and implementing the sales strategies within our Industrial Products – Workholding Division. This includes providing leadership and guidance to our sales and customer service teams, developing and managing our sales channels, and providing input into marketing strategies.
Our ideal candidate will have direct industrial sales and sales management experience; have a proven track record of driving sales growth; will demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, sales representatives and distribution channels, co-workers, and direct reports.
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday
Base Hiring Salary Range: $104,500 – $139,400. The anticipated base salary may take into consideration a combination of factors including the knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education. This position is commission eligible.
Essential Functions
Develops strategic sales objectives and provides input on marketing initiatives. Uses available resources to conduct market analysis, assesses effectiveness of sales and marketing programs, and prepares regular sales reports detailing results. Makes necessary adjustments to help Kurt achieve or exceed sales and profitability goals.
Establishes and manages the annual sales budget to support business objectives and completes sales and revenue analyses.
Develops, implements, maintains, and evaluates market pricing strategies that align with business objectives.
Develops, manages, and evaluates sales channels which includes direct sales, sales representatives, distribution partners, and web-based sales.
Partners with the Marketing team to develop market channels, brand awareness, optimize web-based sales, advertising, promotion efforts, and successful showings at trade shows.
Effectively leads the sales and customer support teams to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. Effectively communicates objectives and goals to the team and provides timely feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to drive the team toward success.
Travels to support trade shows, evaluate distribution and representatives, and visit major customers.

Required:
High school degree or equivalent GED
4 years of experience working in a similar role to include leadership/management experience
Strong customer service/experience orientation
Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel as needed (estimated 3 days/month)
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher
10 years of experience working in a similar role.
Direct industrial sales experience
Proficiency in sales and marketing techniques
Ability to analyze market trends and data
Experience establishing and/or managing budgets
