The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of plant equipment and machinery to support efficient and safe production. This role involves performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and enhance operational productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in electrical systems, industrial controls, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, boiler systems, and waste treatment in a high-speed CPG environment.
- Utilize and implement continuous improvement practices, including 5S, Lean, and TPM methodologies.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs to maximize equipment performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize production interruptions.
- Install, modify, and maintain production equipment and systems.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including LO/TO, OSHA standards, and GMP requirements, to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues, driving operational efficiency.
- Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., EMaint) for managing work orders, scheduling maintenance, and tracking inventory.
- Operate and maintain knowledge of hazardous materials, including toxic and corrosive chemicals.
- Possess and apply strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
- Maintain acute visual and auditory awareness to identify and address potential hazards.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts, as required.
- Other Duties as required.

Education and Experience
- College degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- Journeyman certificate a plus
- Experience conducting PMs on Industrial Equipment
- Experience in the maintenance of converting and web-fed coating equipment a plus
- Forklift experience
