Physician Assistant - Responsibilities:
- Interviews and examines patients, reviews past medical history, requests diagnostic tests, and provides definitive management for full-spectrum family ambulatory practice.
- Conducts outpatient clinics, reviewing medications, diet, therapy course, adherence to management plans, and modifying regimens as needed.
- Refers patients to contracted medical facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures.
- Ensures preparation of medical records, accumulates pertinent clinical data, and provides clinical reports and correspondence.
- Collaborates with allied professionals to advise and coordinate services.
- Provides prenatal care to expected patients in the first and second trimester.
- Delivers pediatric care from newborn to adulthood, familiar with growth, development, disease states, and unique pediatric status.
- Active in pre-visit planning, coordination of care, and participates in clinic improvement activities.
- Anticipates evaluating and treating approximately 12 to 20 patients during an eight-hour workday.
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including minor surgery, joint injections, and other procedures.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of six months experience.
- Education: Completion of a minimum of a master's degree in physician assistant studies.
- Licensure: Must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
- Certification: Must have a current certification in Basic Life Support.
