JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock LLP seeks an Associate in its Irvine office to join its busy Litigation practice. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in insurance defense, municipal/public entity, and commercial litigation but additional substantial litigation experience in other areas will be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS: Skills and Abilities
- Ability to handle all aspects of civil litigation matters, including motions, discovery response, court appearances, depositions, and witness preparation
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and initiative
- Ability and confidence to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Ability to be mentored and taught remotely by attorneys in other offices
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience
- Degree (J.D., LL.M., etc.) from an accredited law school in the United States required, with preference given to those with strong academic credentials, judicial clerkship, or law review experience
- Admitted to practice in California with an active bar license in good standing required
- 3 years of experience in complex civil litigation required with experience in insurance litigation, municipal/public entity litigation, and construction matters preferred

Salary Range: $145,000-$165,000 annual base salary, Commensurate with education and experience
