The Director and Actuary, Pricing & Product Development will:
- Serve as the product expert to internal and external clients
- Leverage Axis to build and enhance actuarial pricing models
- Build and enhance tools for analysis of pricing results
- Monitor emerging product features and market trends
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Designing and pricing innovative accumulation and income individual annuity products (MYGA, FIA, and RILA)
- Stay up to date on current industry product design and pricing best practices
- Build Axis annuity pricing model and related templates
- Efficiently design and run sensitivities to price various features/riders and describe drivers of profitability
- Build and maintain assumption database
- Describe products, features, analysis, sensitivities, and pricing to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders
- Assist in embedding the use of predictive analytics in pricing
- Drafting of policy form, actuarial memo and riders/endorsements for the purposes of state filing
- Responding to queries and requests from the compact and states during the product approval process
- Accountability for development of rate setting process and strategies to enable the business to achieve growth and profitability goals
- Develop product specification, system requirements and testing for administration system implementation
