The Kuvare Senior Data Engineer must have practical experience with Azure SQL DB/Azure Managed Instance, advanced experience with SQL Server 201x/202x, solid understanding of Data Lake/Data Lakehouse Environments, practical experience with Azure Data Factory and/or other ETL toolsets, exposure to Kafka/Azure Event Hub/Other Event Sourcing toolsets, exposure to MDM, and demonstrated exceptional communication/collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will exhibit broad experience in database administration, data management, data governance, and processing of structured/semi-structured/unstructured data forms (CSV, XML, JSON, YAML, Direct Query, Streaming Data, Image, Events, PDF, etc.). This role has direct business impact by providing rapid troubleshooting and enhancements to the data platforms in support of new business relationships, new consumer products, etc.

What You'll Do
- Administration and management of the organization's data infrastructure.
- Monitor performance and optimize databases to ensure efficiency.
- Assist with the design and development of data storage/integration/transformation/distribution strategies that can handle large volumes of varying types of data.
- Monitor and maintain database security by implementing access controls, authentication, audit trails, and other security measures.
- Integration of data from multiple sources such as legacy systems, cloud applications, proprietary file formats, APIs, event sourcing, and other databases. Develop and maintain data integration processes to ensure that the data is accurate, timely, and accessible across the organization.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and manage Data Quality Services, ensuring the best possible data accuracy.
- Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and data scientists to design data models that capture data relationships effectively.
- Ensure that the organization's data is backed up and can be recovered in the event of a disaster. Assist with the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server 201x/202x, Azure SQL DB, Azure Managed Instance, and general Azure environment management.
- Expertise in relational and dimensional database modeling, data development and administration.
- Extensive experience with ETL/ELT pipelines including any combination of modern tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Function Apps, Logic Apps, etc.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills/experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
