Position Summary:
Behavior Interventionist provides in-home and community behavioral support and intervention to youth who are currently in the foster care system and who are at risk for placement instability due to behavioral health needs. Services will be provided to youth, and their placement provider and/or permanency family. Modeling healthy social interaction, teaching life skills and maintaining appropriate boundaries and communication with youth and members of the case management team.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Prior experience in healthcare and/or welfare services
- Prior experience working with clients having complex mental health issues at risk of hospitalization
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexibility in assigned working hours, including evenings and/or weekend
Licensure/Certification:
- Valid driver's license
- Valid Auto Insurance
- At least 21 years old

- Support clients through structured, constructive activities and assist in learning daily living and social skills.
- Help clients with problem-solving, completing tasks, and managing daily living situations.
- Provide transportation and accompany clients to activities or appointments.
- Deliver services individually or in group settings as needed.
- Complete Medicaid-approved Behavior Interventionist training and other required agency trainings.
- Collaborate with placement providers, case managers, and the case team regarding schedules, concerns, and client progress.
- Conduct attendant care sessions in the community, modeling life skills and providing support.
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation, including case logs and billing sheets.
- Serve as a mandated reporter for suspected abuse/neglect.
