Job Title Program Manager
Location is Fairmont WV
Education: A master's preferred or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in one of the behavioral sciences, such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Communicate effectively
- Strong written, verbal, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office Suite experience and excellent communication skills in the English language
- Ability to problem-solve difficult situations
- Have compassion and empathy for others
- Be able to understand different cultures and ideas, cultural competency
• Understanding of family dynamics and child development •
Ability to multitask
- Current, valid driver's license and meet Agency requirement for driver’s insurance
Experience:
- Two (2) years working in a residential treatment environment
- Experience working with children and families in a trauma informed environment Preferred Experience/Skills:
- One year supervisory experience POSITION SUMMARY Ensures each Transitional Living Home maintains a highly therapeutic setting that reflects the agency philosophy of care principles. Major Duties:
- Engages and works with other residential leaders to coordinate the highest quality of care for all residential clients.
- Collaborates with DoHS, TLVY supervisor and case manager(s) regarding admissions and discharges for Transitional Living for Vulnerable Youth program (TLVY)
- Ensures that TLVY home is operating in compliance with all Joint Commission standards, West Virginia statutes and regulations, and Program Licensing and Agency policies and procedures. Ensures that all required compliance documentation is completed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Ensures that TLVY home maintains high standards of performance and fidelity to established philosophy of care principles, tenets, and expectations. Works with West Virginia leadership and policy review committee to update policies.
- Actively recruits, hires, and supervises TLVY staff
- Ensures that all training expectations are met by staff and that all performance evaluations and disciplinary actions are completed in a timely and thorough manner. 2 REV 11.2.22
- Assists in preparing and monitoring budgets for the TLVY. Oversees and ensures that all spending and payroll expenses are maintained within budget expectations.
- Maintains positive behavioral role modeling at all times for internal and external customer service
- Ensures that all living and program areas are kept in good repair and are always maintained with the highest standards of cleanliness and are warm and inviting for clients, stakeholders, and staff.
- Participates in West Virginia leadership meetings, regional and statewide meetings and work groups as appropriate.
• Maintains consistent availability for crisis issues and immediately reports any concerns to leadership • Will be a liaison between KVC, Department of Diversion and Transition and Fairmont State University on behalf of youth in the program and will ensure Middle College cohesion.
- Complete KVC required trainings under ADP learning and annual courses according to agency schedule.
- Understands and utilizes SNS/ASO services for youth placed in TLVY
- Other duties as assigned
