Youth Transport Driver-PRN KC Metro

Position Summary:

• The Driver will provide transportation services for children within KVC's service system.
• This is a PRN position
• Use of personal vehicle for transportation

Pay:

• $17.50 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement

Location:

• KC Metro area

Schedule:

• Must be available to work both day or extended shift hours including weekends and short notice.

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience/Skills:

• Experience working with children and families required.

Certification/Licensure:

• At least 21 years old
• Valid Auto Insurance
• Valid Drivers License

Job Duties/ Responsibilities :

• Ensure the timely receptions of children entering foster care.
• Provide a secure environment for children while in transit.
• Provide on-time arrival for all transports .

• Monitor and document outstanding child's behavior and activities.
• Ensure confidentiality.
• Exhibit a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively with staff in the Transportation Department as well as other KVC staff and external clients/customers.
• Implement and follow all agency and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain a fully operational, well-maintained and clean vehicle.
• Maintain a valid driver's license.
• Maintain/complete all required forms and written reports.
• Assist in the transfer of materials throughout the agency.
• Attend necessary training hours as required by the Transportation Department.
• Participate in staff meetings and other department functions.
• Serve as a mandated reporter of suspected abuse/neglect.
