KVC Missouri Community Based Services (Child Placement)
Salary: $43,500-$46,000 annually
Schedule: This role provides a highly flexible hybrid schedule, with the majority of working hours spent in the field.
Job SummaryThe Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community partners and prospective customers. This position serves as a community organizer and works to create strategic partnerships. The Community Engagement Specialist coordinates grant-funded, community programs. Working within these programs primarily involves recruiting families, facilitating groups, building relationships with community agencies, and overseeing thedaily/weekly operations of community programs.
Education: Bachelor's degree in public policy, nonprofit management, social work or a related field.
Compensation: $43,500 - $46,000 annually
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years old to apply.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with children and families in the direct delivery of social services in a public or private agency.
- Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required.
- Valid driver's license
- Valid auto insurance
Essential Duties:
- Assist with planning/implementing community groups and/or outreach events.
- Facilitate informational meetings in the community.
- Research/locate community events at which to promote KVC Missouri services and resource needs.
- Play active role in creating content for KVC Missouri’s website, blog, social media pages, print materials, etc.
