Overview
We are seeking a Crew Leader to oversee and complete Electrical, Controls, and Lighting projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of electrical theory, installation, and low voltage controls systems.
The ability to manage team members effectively while maintaining high standards of quality control, planning, and communication is paramount. This role is flexible in nature. We are a small contractor that is constantly growing and looking for capable leaders to grow with us.
Position will primarily be on site, travelling, or in an office setting.
Duties
- Supervise and participate in daily activities of crew members on project sites to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Ability to use a tablet, cloud based services, and excel
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the installation process to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Collaborate with project manager or owner to develop timelines and schedules for construction activities.
- Train and mentor crew members in best practices
- Address any issues or challenges that arise on-site promptly to minimize disruptions.
- Ability to communicate with customers or on site clients and team members
Skills
- Proficiency in electrical theory, installation, pipe bending, safety measures
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and the use of cloud based technology
- Excellent blueprint reading capabilities to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Experience in running 3-6 member teams, or managing 2 to 3 team leaders.
- Proven ability in supervising teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong focus on quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and the NEC.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, clients, and potential customers.
- Ability to estimate time requirements and schedules with decent accuracy.
- Bilingual (Spanish) candidates will be prioritized
Company vehicle, hotel, and per diem when traveling provided.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
