Landscape Designer

KWD Landscape Architecture is looking for a talented and motivated designer to join our team! Founded in 1984, we are a fast-paced and growing boutique design firm that focuses on high-end residential estates, exclusive communities, and commercial properties. Beginning February of 2025, our new studio will be located in Boca Raton. Our projects and client base offer exciting design opportunities to practice landscape architecture at many different levels.

We are a collaborative design team that works on-site at our studio location. We pride ourselves on a history of employee and client longevity and are looking for the right person to join our design team and become a part of the KWD family.

Requirements:

· BLA/MLA in Landscape Architecture (from an accredited program), Urban Design, or Urban Planning

· Strong hand graphic skills

· Strong 3D modeling and rendering skills

· Detail oriented and well organized

· Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, MS Office, Lumion, Illustrator and InDesign. Revit and Rhino experience are a plus

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic

· Team approach, ability to work well with others and communicate effectively

· Applicants may be required to take a CAD proficiency test as part of the hiring process

Responsibilities:

· Develop conceptual sketches and illustrative renderings in 2D and 3D formats

· Create graphic presentations

· Draft hardscape and landscape design development and construction documents in CAD

· Work directly with project managers to complete all aspects of design projects

· Other duties as assigned

o All work samples provided by the applicant should be solely that of the applicant. If group project work is submitted in a portfolio, the applicant must note it as such, as well as any rendering created by artificial intelligence. A main portion of this position requires the employee to be fluid in 2D and 3D modeling and rendering, and includes intensive AutoCAD drafting. Applicants must demonstrate that they are personally proficient in these areas in order to succeed in the position.
