Production Associate

Job Description: The Production Associate is responsible for performing production work including: Operating, tending to, and cleaning machines. The Production Associate is also responsible for assembling finished product and inspecting products to ensure high quality.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

· Loading and unloading items from machines, carts, and dollies

· Working as part of a team

· Safely utilizing power tools and various types equipment as needed to perform duties

· Loading and unloading material onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves

· Operating pallet jacks, dollies and a forklift to load or unload trucks

· Interacting with appropriate personnel to ensure effective communications and dissemination of goods as required

· Being familiar with services of the organization and their associated functions

· Pressure washing of product

· Powder coating of product

· Performing various other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

· Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, lifting may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift

· Must be able to maintain a high level of frequency in other physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling and crouching, and climbing ladders

• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

• The employee is exposed to fumes or airborne particles; vibration, and loud noise levels

Requirements:

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· General reading and writing skills

· Dependability with good attendance

· Willingness to work overtime as needed

· Basic computer skills needed

· Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

· Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization

· Positive attitude, good work ethic, and willingness to learn

Preferred Experience but not required:

· Forklift experience

· Experience in production/ machining environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
