Automotive Service Advisor
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Service Advisor to join our quick lube and automotive repair shop team. The ideal candidate will be the face of our business, providing exceptional customer service both over the phone and in person. They must be cheerful, approachable, and possess strong communication skills. A willingness to dive into tasks and get hands-on with vehicle inspections and repairs is essential. Previous sales experience and an outgoing personality are highly valued for this role.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Greet customers warmly and assist them with scheduling appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and pick-ups.
2. Act as the main point of contact for customers, providing clear and helpful communication regarding their vehicle's maintenance and repair needs.
3. Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues and service history.
4. Provide accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance services, explaining the work needed and answering any questions or concerns.
5. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and keep customers informed of any changes or delays.
6. Upsell additional services or maintenance packages based on customer needs and vehicle requirements.
7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including reception area and service desk.
8. Assist with vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and basic repairs as needed, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
9. Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any additional concerns or questions.
10. Actively participate in training programs and stay up-to-date on automotive industry trends and best practices.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to get hands-on with vehicle maintenance and DVI inspections.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive training or certifications are a plus.
