Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and other heavy equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Perform order picking tasks to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly forklifts and cherry pickers.
• Familiarity with order picking processes in a distribution center setting.
• Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory management.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while following safety guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift
