Pay Range: $22.07 to $33.11
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. Kwik Trip Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Refrigeration Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with federal refrigeration regulations, including those under the Clean Air Act and American Innovation and Manufacturing Act (AIM Act). You’ll play a pivotal role in monitoring compliance, analyzing refrigerant use, and supporting projects related to refrigeration systems across our operations. As a Refrigeration Compliance Coordinator, you will uphold these principles by supporting responsible refrigerant use, advancing environmental sustainability, and contributing to meaningful improvements across the organization.
Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Reporting
- Assist in preparing annual federal reports for refrigerant-containing appliances.
- Conduct basic inspections of refrigeration systems to identify potential non-compliance.
- Support the review of refrigeration equipment purchases for regulatory alignment.
- Monitor equipment repair histories for adherence to mandated timelines.
- Stay up to date on state and federal refrigerant regulations and communicate changes to key stakeholders.
Data and File Management
- Maintain accurate records of refrigerant purchases, usage, and storage.
- Record installation, service, and decommissioning dates of refrigerant-containing appliances.
- Conduct routine audits of leak inspections and service records.
Compliance Auditing and Risk Management
- Assist with internal compliance checks and identify potential risks.
- Support external audits or reviews by organizing documentation.
Policy Development and Staff Training
- Assist in implementing policies to reduce refrigerant leaks and environmental impact.
- Provide support for staff training on refrigerant handling and compliance.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Preferred: 2 years post high school education
- Experience: 0–2 years in compliance coordination, environmental coordination, asset management, project management, HVAC/R service, Operations Support, SE Service Desk, or similar roles.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn refrigeration compliance codes and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Understanding of work order systems and refrigerant data tracking software.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges.
Certifications
- EPA Section 608 certification or the ability to obtain it
Work Schedule:
Typically, Monday through Friday daytime hours with occasional evening meetings and overnights. This role requires some travel. The hours may vary based on the needs/schedules of the Store Engineering Department, with an average work week of approximately 40 hours.
