Pay Range: $18.00 to $24.48
Shift: Morning/Afternoons
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Kwik Trip’s Bread and Bun Plant is looking for individuals for a variety of seasonal positions.
Our state-of-the-art Bread and Bun Plant located in La Crosse produces over 20 varieties of bread and bun products for approximately 800 retail stores. Kwik Trip customers are able to enjoy our multiple bread and bun varieties.
Join our Bakery production crew where you will be trained in production/finishing or warehouse:
- Production/Finishing: operate the various pieces of bakery equipment used to make our products from start to finish (packaging), operate sanitation equipment in order to keep our fast-paced, high volume plant up to our standards (occasional work with chemicals)
- Warehouse: select and load our bread and bun products to be shipped to our retail stores or unload and stack empty totes to be cleaned by our tote washing machine
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week. These positions will be available from May through August.
Starting Rate of Pay is $18.00 per hour. Weekend Premium Pay: additional $3.00 an hour between the hours of 7:30pm Friday and 5:00am Monday
Available schedules include:
- Material Handler/Order Puller (AM): Sunday through Saturday with rotating days on and off working 4:00am to 12:00pm
- Bun Make Up: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday working 9:00am to 5:00pm
Qualifications: Accurate/detail orientated; ability to work in a fast paced production environment; basic math aptitude; work well alone/as part of team; willing to learn/perform a variety of job tasks; work in a noisy environment frequently; work in a safety conscious environment; adhere to sanitation/hygiene standards.
Prior production and/or baking experience is a plus but not required.
Physical qualifications: stand/walk up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist constantly; lift/carry 50 pounds to 60 inches frequently; work in temperatures of 70-90 degrees F; kneel/squat occasionally; push/pull up to 87 pounds of force occasionally; lift/carry 15 pounds to 72 inches occasionally.
