Pay Range: $63,039.34 to $87,428.12
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Kwik Trip Inc. Due to Kwik Trip’s continued growth and success, we are adding an additional Full-Time Software Developer. While best known for our product and service offerings to our 8 million retail guests each week throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, a lesser-known fact is that beautiful La Crosse, WI is home to our ever expanding 140 acre support campus. Our La Crosse Campus includes a wide variety of production facilities, distribution center, truck maintenance facility, transportation/logistics, store construction, fuel trading, sales, and pretty much every support department you can imagine a 30,000-co-worker strong organization would have.
Job Description:
As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for the development and support of Information Technology solutions to support and enable the growth of Kwik Trip in its primary objective of serving our customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
Regular tasks include:
- Conceptualizing, designing, coding, testing, implementing, documenting, and supporting high quality applications.
- Setting organizational development strategy, application design and architecture, and ensuring security of all web sites and related applications
- Be an innovator on the Applications Development team by keeping abreast of CTRM/ETRM technologies and knowledge of commodities.
- Observe others, learn systems, and grow personal programming skills.
The primary focus is in ASP.NET and mobile app development (initially iOS).
Qualifications:
- 2-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of application and database design, development, and implementation
- Experience with ASP.NET core (C# is preferred), HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SQL Server
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, development best practices, secure coding standards, mobile app development, responsive web design, automated unit testing and PCI guidelines are a plus.
- Knowledge with CTRM/ETRM and its interfaces is a plus.
- Experience in Refined Products would be a plus.
- Knowledge of Commodity Trading and Accounting would be helpful.
The selected individual should possess the knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws, knowledge of all phases of system development and project management. The candidate should possess the following: ability to be a self-starter; be self-motivated; effectively prioritize and execute tasks in order to meet deadlines; possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills; possess strong customer service skills; accurate and detail orientated; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with users, development staff, and technical staff is essential; work with minimal supervision; manage projects from beginning to end; work in a safety conscious environment.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend work as needed, as well as on call rotation.
